/Vancomycin

Vancomycin is a widely used antibiotic in the clinic whenever you suspect methicillin-resistant staphylococci (surgery, endocarditis, abscess). Vancomycin is also given as an alternative to infections caused by Gram positive bacteria in patients allergic to penicillins, cephalosporins or other beta-lactam antibiotics due to the possibility of cross-allergy between betalactams.

Nosocomial pneumonia, bronchopulmonary infections in cystic fibrosis, bacterial meningitis, chronic suppurative otitis media, malign external otitis, complicated urinary tract infections, complicated skin and soft tissue infections, complicated intra-abdominal infections, bone and joint infections, peritonitis associated with dialysis in patients with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis-CAPD.

/Ceftriaxone
